What does it
mean that Boon is BpA-free?
BpA or Bisphenol-A is a
hormone-disrupting chemical considered to be potentially harmful
to human health and the environment. It has been known that
scratched and worn polycarbonate feeding bottles will leach this
chemical into liquids. Unfortunately just until relatively recently
high traces of Bisphenol-A was found in many baby product manufacture red
by many well know and reputable brands. Many laws have since been
passed to eliminate this harmful chemical but when it comes to
safety don’t ever assume that any manufacturer has your best
interest in mind.
While all Boon products are BpA-free, but
since safety is top priority, here are some simple tips and
precautions when dealing with brands you are unsure of.
Don’t leave plastics in a hot car or heat them in a
microwave”. Heat increases the amount of chemicals that leak out
of plastic. For more tips and a list of companies that have
removed these chemicals from baby products, see www.environmentcalifornia.org. |
